Q: What is a FREDCard?
A: The FREDCard is your campus ID card that will serve many purposes on campus. It will house your MEAL PLAN and DEBIT ACCOUNT. It will also give you access to your Residence Hall, allow you to check out books at the Library as well as many other services on campus.
Q: What is a Meal Plan?
A: A meal plan is a Non-Taxable account that allows a student to eat on campus. The meal plans are made up of 2 methods of payment MEALS and POINTS. Meals are accepted in the All-You-Care to eat dining Facilities (Cranston Marche and Marketplace at Erie); at the dining facilities in Centre Pointe a meal from meal plans 2, 3, and 4 has a $5.00 cash equivalence. Points are accepted at all of our locations. Please see the Meal Plan flyer in this packet for more information.
Q: What meal plan is the most popular?
A: We typically see students choose plan 2 or 3. However, you should choose your meal plan based on a number of factors; including: How frequently do you eat? Do you eat breakfast regularly? Will you go home on weekends?
You will be required to choose a meal plan during this orientation session.
Q: Can I change my meal plan?
A: Yes, you can change your meal plan by contacting the FSA Office prior to using your meal plan. Once you have used your meal plan you may only go to a higher valued plan.
Q: What is a Feed-A-Friend Meal?
A: A Feed-A-Friend meal may be used to provide a meal for a guest at our All-You-Care to eat dining facilities.
Q: What is the SUNY Fredonia Debit Account?
A: The SUNY Fredonia Debit Account is a Taxable account that is on your FREDCard that can be used for purchases at all of our locations. Please see the Debit Account flyer in this packet for more information
Q: What if I run out of Points or money in my Debit account?
A: You can always deposit money to an account, in amounts as small as $15, by visiting www.myfredcard.com , contacting the FSA Office or by going to one of the ValuePorts on campus which are located in Gregory Hall, the Williams Center and McEwen Hall.
Q: How much money do I need to deposit into my Debit Account to get pre-packed books?
A: In order to receive the pre-pack service you must be enrolled in a $600 or greater Debit Account. For more information on the pre-pack service please visit our website at http://fsa.fredonia.edu/bookstore/bookstoreprepack.as

Q: What if I lose my FREDCard or it gets stolen?
A: Report it immediately that your FREDCard has been lost or stolen, online at www.myfredcard.com , or at the FSA office in Gregory Hall during normal business hours Monday-Friday. After normal business hours and on weekends, lost cards may be reported at the Convenience Store located on the first floor of University Commons
We will replace your FREDCard the first time for no charge, all subsequent times after that a card will be $15. Replacement cards are available at the FSA Office and Convenience store. For more information please see the Terms and Conditions in the Meal Plan Flyer.
Q: Are there ATM’s on campus?
A: Yes, we have the following ATM’s on campus: HSBC Bank, M&T Bank, Lakeshore Savings and Loan and the SUNY Fredonia Federal Credit Union.
